Chip and Dip - Party Platter

Chip and Dip party platter

I enjoy making platters. The recipe I am sharing today is of a party platter. It is really yummy and easy to make and it takes no time. Party platters are really good for evening snacks, for movie nights also for starters. Try this recipe and share this with your friends and family.

Tomato Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 lb.  (1 kg) Roma Tomatoes
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • ¼ onions
  • 1 chipotle pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1 tsp. chicken powder
  • ¼ tsp. red chili powder

Method

  • Dice Roma tomatoes and onion and put them in a blender.
  • Add 2 garlic cloves, and salt in it.
  • Add chipotle pepper for rich color and taste. (If you don’t have chipotle pepper you can also add red chili powder instead of it.)
  • Blend it well until smooth.
  • Heat a pan; add 1 tbsp. oil in it.
  • Add 2 cloves of garlic, fry it till golden brown.
  • Now take your garlic cloves out of the pan and put them in the blender.
  • Blend it well.
  • Pour your smooth mixture out of the blender into the pan.
  • Add 1 tsp. chicken powder. (If you don’t have chicken powder you can also add ½ chicken cubes.)
  • Add ¼ tsp. red chili powder. (If you want it spicier you can add more.)
  • Cook it for 20 to 25 min until it acquires right consistency.

Tomato Salsa

Ingredients

  • 2 juicy tomatoes
  • ½ onions chopped
  • ½ jalapeno pepper
  • ½ lemon juice
  • Handful of cilantro
  • ½ tsp. salt

Method

  • Dice 2 medium sized tomatoes.
  • Chop ½ red onions and add it in the tomatoes.
  • Chop ½ jalapeno pepper and add it in the bowl. (If you don’t want it that spicy, you can also remove the seeds of jalapeno.)
  • Add ½ lemon juice and handful of cilantro in it.
  • Add ½ tsp. of salt and mix it well

Corn Salsa

Ingredients

  • 2 cups boiled corn
  • ½ onions chopped
  • ½ jalapeno pepper
  • ½ lemon juice
  • Handful of cilantro

Method

  • Boil 2 cups of corn.
  • Add ½ chopped red onion in the corn.
  • Chop ½ jalapeno pepper and add it in the corn.
  • Add ½ lemon juice and handful of cilantro in it.
  • Add ½ tsp. of salt and mix it well.

Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1//2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ tsp. red chili powder
  • 8 oz. cheddar cheese
Method
  • Heat a pan on medium low flame; add 2 tbsp. of butter in it. (If you don’t have butter you can also use oil.)
  • When butter is melted add 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour in it.
  •  Whisk it well and make it lump free.
  • Add 1 cup milk in it in small portions.
  • Mix it well.
  • Now is the time to add seasonings. I used red chili powder you can use any spices you like. (If you don’t want any spices you can omit it completely.)
  • Whisk your sauce continuously.
  • Add shredded cheddar cheese in your sauce.
  • At this stage your sauce starts to thicken so turn your flame off and whisk it till cheese melts. (If your sauce is very thick, add 3 tbsp. of warm milk in it.)

Guacamole

(For guacamole we have to use ripe avocados if you don’t have ripe avocados then prick your avocado with the help of fork and microwave if for 30 sec your avocado will be ripened.)

Ingredients

  • 1 Avocado
  • ½ lime juice
  • 2 tbsp. tomato salsa
  • ½ tsp. salt

Method

Dice 1 avocado.

  • Add ½ lime juice in it.
  • Add 2 to 3 tbsp. tomato salsa in it. (That we have made before.)
  • Add salt in it and mash it a bit.
Serving
  • Dish out all your salsas in a platter with some chips and enjoy it.
