INGREDIENTS
1 Green cabbage
Sausage 500 g
Egg 2
Carrot 3
Broth 10 cl
Tomato 2
soft bread 3 slices
Milk ½ glass
Garlic 2 pod

PREPARATION
Prepare the stuffing: Add to the sausage meat, eggs and
breadcrumbs soaked in milk, the garlic cloves, salt and pepper. Knead until the
mixture is smooth.
Boil water in a Dutch oven. Wash the cabbage. When the water
boils, soak the cabbage upside down in the simmering water for 2 to 3 minutes.
Then cut the heart of the cabbage (reserve it for a soup).
Divide the stuffing inside the leaves, fold them over one after the other,
pulling them tightly around the stuffing. Tie the cabbage.
You are ready to serve.
In a cast iron casserole dish, put 3 tablespoons of butter.
Brown the cabbage on all sides. Place the sliced onions, the carrots cut into
slices and the peeled tomatoes, cut into quarters in the casserole dish.
Sprinkle with 10 cl of broth. Salt and pepper. Cover and cook for 1h30, turning
the cabbage from time to time.
