Weekends are for perfectly chewy fudge brownies with nutella
on top, because we all need some chocolate to end the week.

Iπ»π΄πΏπ²π±πΆπ²π»ππ:
150 g (3/4 cups) butter
80 g (1/2 cup + 1 tbsp) dark chocolate chips or chunks
115 g (1/2 cup + 1 tbsp) caster sugar
2 eggs
60 g (1/2 cup) flour
1.5 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
walnuts (optional) as required
nutella as required
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Mπ²ππ΅πΌπ±:
1. grease & line an 8×8 inch square pan
2. preheat the oven to 180°C
3. melt the butter & chocolate in a double
boiler/microwave. be careful not to burn the chocolate
4. take off the heat & cool for a few minutes. stir in
the caster sugar
5. whisk in the eggs one at a time mixing each egg well
6. add the vanilla essence
7. sift in the flour, cocoa powder & baking powder. mix
to combine
8. add in some chopped walnuts
9. pour the batter in the lined pan. bake in the preheated
oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
10. cool completely before cutting. pipe some @nutella on
top & serve

TπΆπ½π:
1. use REALLY dark chocolate for the most intense flavour. i
love crave dark chocolate for this
2. make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature
3. for better results use the best quality cocoa powder you
can find, but to be honest it really doesn't matter.
4. please invest in kitchen scales.
5. don't overmix the batter after adding the flour
6. baking time depends on your oven. keep a close eye. the
brownies should look cooked (not liquidy) & a skewer inserted in the center
should come out with only a few crumbs stuck. they will cook further as they
cool
7. the amount of nutella on top is a personal priority.
there is no judging here
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
happy baking!
