Chicken Sausage Quesadilla Recipe


Today I am sharing one of my special recipes that is loved by everyone. I love eating it, also I enjoy making it. You all have eaten many kinds of quesadillas like chicken quesadilla, mince quesadilla, cheese quesadilla but this one is unique. You haven't heard of marinating sausages, but in this recipe I marinate sausages and it turned out incredibly delicious. This is so flavorful. Tortilla is so crispy and flakey that it dissolves in your mouth. It gives a really delicious flavor. Once you try this you want it more. It can be eaten as a snack or as an appetizer, but I consider it a complete meal. Share this recipe with your friends and family and try this at to home to make your time more special.

Ingredients

For Tortilla

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. powdered sugar (You may also use normal sugar)
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • Water as required

For Filling

  • 2 chicken sausages
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. red chili powder
  • ¼ tsp. paprika powder
  • ¼ tsp. ginger powder
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp. oregano
  • ¼ tsp. thyme
  • ¼ tsp. cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 2 tbsp. ketchup
  • Grated Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • ½ onions copped
  • Handful of cilantro leaves chopped
  • 1 green chili chopped
  • Green onion chopped

For Tortilla

  • Add all-purpose flour, salt, sugar and baking powder in a bowl.
  • Mix all the dry ingredients.
  • Now add your wet ingredients i.e. oil and water.
  • Combine everything and make soft dough.
  • Cover your dough and let it rest for about 20 min.
  • After 20 min, divide your dough in small balls and start rolling your tortillas with a rolling pin.
  • Preheat your nonstick pan at medium low heat, cook your tortilla for 1 to 2 min or until it starts bubbling.
  • Now is the time to flip it.
  • Cook it slightly from both the sides and remove it from the flame.
  • Repeat the process for the rest of the dough to make your tortillas.
  • After preparing all the tortillas keep them aside.

For Filling

  • Boil chicken sausages and cut them in small pieces.
  • Marinate your sausages with spices i.e. salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, paprika, thyme, oregano, garlic powder, ginger powder and oil. (If you don’t have paprika you can completely omit it.)
  • Sautee your sausages over low flame in a frying pan.
  • Add tomatoes, ketchup, red onion, green onion and green chili in the pan.
  • Stir fry them for a minute or two.
  • After it’s done add handful of cilantro and with this your filling is ready.

Assembling

  • Preheat your pan over low heat, add 1 tbsp. of oil.
  • Put your tortilla on the pan, add grated mozzarella cheese then add prepared filling again add cheese over the filling and cover it with another tortilla.
  • Drizzle some oil over tortilla.
  • Cook it for about 2 to 3 minutes from both the sides over low heat or until tortilla is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Repeat the process for the rest of your tortillas.
  • Voila! Your yummy and delicious chicken sausage tortillas are ready to eat.
