Potato Soup Easy Recipe

This is one of my favorite recipe cause I love potato and I enjoy eating it and cooking with it. Today I am sharing the recipe of cream of potato soup which is really yum and easy to prepare. This soup is loved by everyone and prepares in no time. The main ingredient is obviously potato I love the punch of garlic and the creaminess of the soup. The ingredients used in tis recipe are also very affordable. I love this soup so much that I wish I could eat it daily. Do try this soup and comment your experience. Cream of potato soup

Serving 6 persons

Ingredients

  • 700g potatoes
  • 5 ½ tbsp. butter
  • 5 to 5 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • Black pepper
  • Dried parsley leaves
  • Green onion chopped

Method

  • Wash your potatoes thoroughly and cut them in small pieces.
  • Into a pot add 2 tbsp. of butter.
  • When butter is melted add chopped garlic in the pot.
  • When garlic turns slightly golden brown add your potatoes to the pot.
  • Again add 2 tbsp. of butter and mix well.
  • Sauté it for a few minutes.
  • Add 1 cup of water and 1 tsp. of salt.
  • Cover your pot with the lid and make it boil.
  • Check within 10 minutes and if needed add more water to the pot. (I added ½ cup of water)
  • When potatoes become soft turn the flame off.
  • Transfer your potatoes to a blender and blend it little by little.
  • Blend it until it acquires a smooth consistency also add a little milk while blending.
  • When potatoes got blended transfer them to a pot.
  • Cook them on medium heat.
  • Add remaining milk till you acquire your preferred consistency. (You can also add water instead of milk at this stage if you don’t want it creamy)
  • Add 1 ½ tbsp. of butter and mix everything well.
  • Add milk to reduce thickness of your soup.
  • Add black pepper according to your taste.
  • Bring the soup to a boil.                                        
  • Add dried parsley leaves.
  • Serve your soup hot in a bowl.
  • Sprinkle some green onion at top and Enjoy!
